Dr. Sara Cahill DC
Dr. Sara Cahill was born in Newton, received a bachelor’s degree in biology from UNI, then went down south to Marietta, GA for chiropractic school at Life University where she graduated with honors in 2017. She was inspired to become a chiropractor after having an experience in elementary school where adjustments resolved her seasonal allergies. She has been active in learning the Gonstead technique since working the front desk of a Gonstead office in Cedar Falls, where she also learned this was the same technique her childhood chiropractor used to help her allergies! If you know how many techniques there are in chiropractic, you know how much of a coincidence this is! She was deeply inspired about all the healing that can happen when under specific chiropractic care both from her own experiences and what she witnessed while working at that office. During school, she learned about the impact that proper movement of the spine and body has on the development of the infant brain. It was then that she dedicated herself to learn as much as possible to give kids the best start at life—which often starts with helping mom become her best before pregnancy and delivery! She spent the last 8.5 years living in Cedar Falls with her mentor she worked with in her college days, and she is excited to join the Bloom team closer to home and family as well as her boyfriend, Derek. They live in Johnston with their mini golden doodle named Gary. Dr. Sara is certified in the Webster Technique for pregnancy, Craniofascial therapy for infants, and has additional training in NET (Neuroemotional Technique).
